December News

Setting News:

We are pleased to announce that after trialling different companies throughout the past term, Wisps have decided to book Debutots and Rugbytots to deliver various sessions throughout the next term. Staff will extend on the sessions outcomes for children who are not in attendance on each particular session. More information will follow in the new year as to when sessions will be; please bear in mind these sessions are aimed at our children who are in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium although all of our Wisps family will benefit from the learning outcomes.

Wisps were fortunate to be sponsored recently by Santander to have our garden enhanced. A great team of people came out and helped us develop the area on 15th November and whilst we continue to develop it further we are pleased with all the changes we are already seeing, a big thank you to Nina and her team.

Sound of the Week

Please can we ask that you get involved as you can with our new incentive. It is to support our children with the use of phonics. We will be supporting this in the setting but your ongoing support will be invaluable in their learning outcomes. We shall display which sounds we are focusing on each week and we would like the children to bring in something to 'show and tell' from home that starts with that sound.

Whispa the Journey Bear

we will be sending our journey bear home with each of our children in turn so that Whispa can be a part of what you do outside of the setting. We look forward to seeing your photos and reading hat Whispa had been up to.

November Newsletter

Setting News

We have had a great first half term! We have welcomed new families and made positive developments to our indoor environment. Whilst we have made smaller changes to our garden we are soon to commence a thorough development with the help of Nina and her team from Santander, who have chosen to support us! We are so excited for the work to tale place and will be sure to celebrate the changes on our Facebook page after completion for you all to see.

Toni our Setting Manager remains on Maternity Leave but will start to do some 'Keeping In Touch' days throughout November. Toni and Gemma will be looking at recent developments and how best to utilise their time together before Toni's return in the New Year.

Thank you

Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to like and share our Facebook page, please find us now on Instagram as wisps.preschool. We would really appreciate any reviews that you may have time to do; both on Facebook and through finding us on Google! We are very proud of our setting and want to reach out to more families who may not know we are here.

Please can we ask that you get involved as you can with your child's online journal. This helps to provide us with a well-rounded view of your child's experiences and capabilities. If you do need any assistance, please speak to a member of the team.

Wisps actively promote the children to be independent. We do ask that you support us with this and allow your child to enter the pre-school independently. If your child finds this distressing, please do accompany them into pre-school and encourage them to hang their belongings on their pegs and register themselves on our self-registration board whilst you wait for them in the room before saying goodbye.
